I Like Your Style...

JulyCraftiness 018

While I am not a fashionista.. this bella makes you want to be! She is too cute! I used her to make a card celebrating who someone is.. I think all to often we get caught up in who we think we should be.. I know a lot of SAHM's who get caught up in being the perfect mom and wife (me included.. inside secret my best pals call me Martha).. and sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves I created this card as a little encouragement to a friend who tends to be to hard on herself.. Just a little compliment to the great woman I think she is...

Polka Dotted Thoughts of You..

JulyCraftiness 003

The background of this card was made using the Guidelines 2 Set from Papertrey.. As you all know my oldest son graduated this year and that came with lots of extra expenses so it was quite a while after this set came out that I was able to get it.. I just LOVE it.. It makes such GREAT background papers.. LMK what you think about this one.. not sure if I should have gone with different colors or not.. I LOVE that Raspberry Fizz color and use it every time I get a chance. The main image is again the Rainy Day Set from MFT. She is paper pierced from my scrap stash.. The boots are colored with my Spica's and just sparkle IRL. The sentiment is again from the Papertrey Around and About Set.  Hope you like this one..

Birthday Wishes in a Bikini..

JulyCraftiness 011

This card was made for a friends sweet little girl of a good friend that requested it of me when we visited her a few days ago.. She was so cute.. she said " I'm kinda embarrassed to ask you this but can you make me a card for my sister's birthday?? I told her not to be embarrassed that I would love to make her one and to ask whenever she needs one.. She gave me colors and I came up with this.. Her sister is a sweet young lady celebrating her 15th birthday this year..

Get Well MFT Style..

JulyCraftiness 009

The background was made with one of my favorite Papertrey sets. It's just perfect for making background papers. My main image is paper pieced and colored in with Copics and Prismacolor Markers. I used the around and about set from Papertrey to add a sentiment. The main image is of course from MFT.. Black and white with a splash of colors really speaks to me.. Hope you like her...

Cheers To You!

JulyCraftiness 019

Isn't Winobella adorable!! I just think she's too cute! I created this card with my wine drinking gals in mind.. Thought is would make a great card for my friend whose DH is in Iraq right now.. Thought I'd send it along with a little encouragement for her to hang in a little longer. The Cheers to You sentiment is to celebrate the AMAZING job she's doing holding things down on the home front while he's been away.. She's colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I think she's going to love her..

Get Well Wishes From Your MFT Friend..

JulyCraftiness 007

MFT's Rainy Day wishes combined with the around and about sentiment from my Papertrey set makes a super cute card don't ya think? I am trying to branch out and use more layers and also add more details to my card. The scalloped edge with the piercing. The sparkly detail added to the flowers is another the contrasting piece of cardstock in the background are all things I would never have added on the same card before but.. I am evolving.. The DP I got at Hobby Lobby. The cardstock is from DCWV, HL, and Neenah. The accessories I used were my nesties, copics, perfect layers, SU!  scalloped punch, Piercing Tool, and stickles. Let me know what you think...

You're The Best...

JulyCraftiness 020

A few weeks ago I participated in a Stamping Bella images swap.. this is one of the images I received.. Isn't she just groovy?  What a cute image.. I love the butterfly flying by her hand. I used some DP from my stash that I've had for years now.. I'm trying to use up my stash that I've hoarded. I am trying to use what I have to spend less on stuff and divert what I can spend to stamps... Hope you like her as much as I do..

Look to the Lord...

JulyCraftiness 010

Chronicles 16:11.. Look to the Lord and His strength seek His face always..

Seems like a fitting sentiment for this rainy day girl. when times  Faith is a sustaining entity in our lives and I try to be ever mindful that I can seek His guidance when I need Him. We took a little trip last week to Kansas to visit friends stationed at Ft. Riley, (I went to middle school there), I got to show my kids the Catholic School I attended while I live there as a tween.. It brought back so many memories of Friday mass with the school, and the sweetest Priest I had ever known.. Father Kramer and the strictest nun.. Sister Mary Francis:) They are some of the people (aside from my parents) who helped nurture my faith.. A Faith I treasure today.. I hope you like the card.. I created for a friend whose having a tough time right now.. Specs are below..

Card Specs:

DP: Scrap Stash

Cardstock: HL, Neenah, DCWV

Stamps: MFT, Papertrey Ink

Accessories: CM Trimmer, Perfect Layers, Stickles, Primas, SU!@ Scalloped Punch, Tiny hole punch

Jumpin for Joy!!

MarchCraftiness 021

I'm not sure if I like how this card actually turned out.. There are times when I am creating a card that I have a vision in my head.. but somewhere between my head and the completion of the card something gets lost in translation.. I think that might have happened here. I am always trying to find a way to add more masculine cards to my reserve and this was one such attempt. I left the sentiment off purposefully so I could add whichever sentiment I need at the time.. LKM what you think..

Card Specs:

DP: Clearance Rack at HL

Cardstock: HL, CM, GP, DCWV

Stamps: Gina K Designs

Accessories: Nesties, Perfect Layers, Staz On Ink

MFT Birthday Wishes

MarchCraftiness 004

As I've said before I am a member of the Birthday RAK club over at SCS.. It is so much fun to send out the cards you make to other people who will appreciate them.. Fellow SCSers are always so sweet and gracious when you send them cards. I almost always receive a thank you of some kind from my fellow card makers.. I encourage you all to do the same if you are SCS members.. It's much more thrilling to send them out than it is to pile them up in your crafting space.. Another thing I have in the works is to donate some cards to the wounded warrior facility here in San Antonio.. DH works with the wounded warrior battalion and I am looking into donating a large bunch of cards to the Warrior and Family Support Center.. I figure that they can use them to keep in touch with family and friends while they're here getting care.  Now on to my card...

This card was made for my RAK pile and has already been sent to it's new home.. The recipient very kindly sent me a thank you. The DP is from HL. The image is of course MFT. I colored it with my colored pencils and gamsol.. still one of my FAVE techniques.. and the sentiment was created on my computer and stamped with my SU! punch. Hope you enjoy them as much as the recipient did..

Simply Sweet

MarchCraftiness 007

I love that these gals at MFT have no faces.. you can tailor her to fit ANYONE just by adjusting the skin tone... How FABULOUS  is that? I love to match my image colors with the DP I use. Here I used some leftover DP from my scrap stash.. A little bling is always a good thing so I added some to the chair's "fabric" I trimmed and matted my image with my perfect layers and hand cut my sentiment. Hope you like it...

Elzybells Meets Papertrey

MarchCraftiness 008

Papertrey wishes and Elzy dreams..  Using my pal Jens Elzybells was a BLAST! She is too cute isn't she. The larger spaces make her a dream to color too. The DP is from Hobby Lobby. The cardstock is DCWV, GP, and HL. I used my nesties to cut out the main image and the phrase. The image is colored with my Copics, except for the hair on Elzy.. that's done with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Were leaving for Kansas tomorrow so I'll be MIA for a few days. We are visiting good friends of ours stationed at Fort Riley..  I'll see ya'll when I get back:) Enjoy your week ladies and gents...

The sentiment was created with my computer and die cut with my SU! punch.

Card Specs:

DP: Scrap Stash

MarchCraftiness 014

Another Eloise to grace the blogosphere! Don't ya just LOVE her. I know I do.. she has got to be my fave bella of all time. I like making her wings sparkle.. Not sure if I like this color of sparkle but.. it was a way to change it up. The DP is from my scrap stash and the ribbon is from the dollar spot at Mike's. The phrase is printed off my computer and punch with my SU! punch.. Then I added the dew drops for a little extra something.. My image was cut out with my nesties and matted with my perfect layers. Hope you like her!

Meet My Grad!

UnclePhillipJohnnyGraduation 1291

This is the reason I've been MIA for the past couple of weeks. Our oldest son graduated this month and I am overwhelmed by the thought of my chubby cheeked cherub being a "grown up". I actually missed him receiving his diploma because my eyes were filled with tears.  The joy at seeing our baby walk across that stage was just too much for me.  If it weren't for the video I wouldn't have seen it at all. By the time the tears were wiped away he was walking off the stage.  To all of you who have babies graduating this year.. many blessings and prayers to you all. It is a wonderful experience.

Tote-ally Wish Filled

MarchCraftiness 011

This set from MFT speaks to me.. It features one of my favorite things... PURSES!  I Love a cute bag! But then again what girl doesn't?  I did a little paper piecing for a punch. My main image is colored with Copics and the DP is from my scrap stash. I am trying to make use of my large scraps of paper and save a little moolah in the process. With DS graduating tomorrow we have been spending a fortune! LMK what you gals think..

Rainy Day Get Well Wishes

MarchCraftiness 017

As a member of the RAK group I try to send out RAK's regularly. Right now I am failing miserably at that.. my B-RAKs are all I can seem to manage right now! DS graduation is rapidly approaching. Family begins flying in this weekend.. YIKES!!! It's here.. Seems like yesterday I was sending him off to kindergarten.. Hope you like the card..

DCWV Sparkle Meets Eloise

MarchCraftiness 022

OK I went a  few posts without you seeing Eloise.. She's so stinkin cute I never get tired of her! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at her and coloring her. She has large spaces so there's a great opportunity to practice shading and the like with either your Copics or Prismacolor pencils. The DP is DCWV and so is some of the cardstock. I LOVE the texture it adds. My image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Her wings are stickled.  I used my nesties to cut her out and my perfect layers to mat the image...

BVC 09 March Submission

MarchCraftiness 020

The BVC is something near and dear to my heart. This year it is my goal to better learn the bible. I am trying to pay attention even more during Sunday scripture and sermon to not just hear the word but discern the message that is being relayed. I am trying to take the opportunity to be still and listen. For any of you that know me.. you know that being quiet is definitely not one of my gifts.. So I am trying to be proactive in this "listening" to God and what he is trying to say to me. In doing that I am trying to understand the word better and I think that BVC helps me to do that, it helps me locate passages that have meaning to others that I may or may not know.

Card Specs:

DP: Hobby Lobby

Cardstock: GP, DCWV, HL

March Stamp Camp 2

MarchCraftiness 029

This is another project we made in Stamp Camp that I would probably have never attempted on my own. I am most definitely a visual learner. I learn better when I see. Attempting project with lots of steps isn't something I would do without adult supervision.. hee hee.. Inside this "envie package" is a super cute card. In the same color scheme as the other stamp camp project. All items used are SU!

March Stamp Camp1

MarchCraftiness 028

MarchCraftiness 030

My Stampin' Up demo is also a good friend. She knows that I am a short attention span stamper and would never attempt intensive projects on my own so she is constantly surprising me with intricate project that are relatively goof proof. This card is one such project. Hand-cutting images is usually something I shy away from but she makes it easy and shows us that using the proper tools can sometimes make all the difference in the world. I LOVE this color combo. All products are SU!

Eloise with her Lifesavers...

MarchCraftiness 026

This paper immediately reminded me of Lifesaver candies.  I was practicing with my prismas and this lovely little gal is the result. I have been so swamped with DS graduation quickly approaching. So I am trying to use up images I have colored to create cards as my b-day stash is running low since I've been in the B-Rak group over at Splitcoast. Plus apparently my family is prolific during  winter because we have a lot of summer babies.. Both my boys are summer babies.. This is the last Eloise you'll see for a little while.. but not to fear, she'll be back!
